Actually, we were the first to report on all of this and we talked with Vega and people from the Granada yesterday afternoon, last night and today-- we alerted our readers about all of it starting at 6pm yesterday afternoon and were the first to report what the principals were saying. The only thing we didn't get on our own was the email from CC's management, which we pasted from Gorilla vs Bear. We linked him and gave him credit for publishing it first. There are some other sites around here that could learn from the way we handled it, to be perfectly frank.

and after that... who knows, maybe an agreement is made. maybe someone "takes the bull by the horn".... but you're right. fuck me.i remember the house parties in denton at the yellow house. touring bands, bands from france (the fatals)... all sorts of interesting shit going on. now, i don't see that as being the case. i'm sure it happens on occation, but i'd like to see and hear more.shit, i think the same thing about the double-wide, the cavern, and a lot of venues around dallas that used to have a pretty consistent variety of good shows..... it's not happening w/ as much regularity. i don't need to see the king bucks every weekend. whatever you want to think, but i used to go to 2 or 3 shows every weekend, and now i barely bother w/ any shows. i've been to the double-wide twice this year so far (both times king bucks just happened to be playing... i wasn't there to see anyting specific), and if i go to the cavern i usually end up staying upstairs. maybe if i were from denton i would have a different perspective, but i'm not.. dallas doesn't have much going on, and i haven't seen anything going on in denton that is worth the drive time. there is SOME stuff, no doubt. but not nearly enough for my tastes, my money, and my time

house shows are cool, but shows at good venues with good sound systems can be a really incredible experience. It's nice to have shows run on time and actually be able to properly hear the music the way it is supposed to sound.
